Water Tanks for Mobile and Stationary Applications
A plastic water tank is a durable solution wherever water needs to be stored, transported or buffered safely.
Our plastic water tanks are suitable for commercial, technical and mobile applications – from agriculture, industry and mechanical engineering to vehicles, boats, mobile supply systems and service operations.
When choosing the right tank, volume and shape are only part of the picture. Installation space, connection requirements and the intended use are just as important.
Taking these factors into account early on makes it much easier to find the water tank that fits your application in practice as well as on paper.
Choose a Water Tank by Application
For Motorhomes, Campers, Boats, Vehicles and Mobile Supply Solutions
In mobile applications, shape, weight, stability and the available installation space are especially important. Flat, slimline and horizontal models are often preferred because they make efficient use of the available space in motorhomes, campers, boats, service vehicles and mobile supply units.
Depending on the application, these tanks may be used as freshwater tanks or wastewater tanks. For these use cases, explore Water Tanks for Campers and Water Tanks for Boats.
For Agriculture, Industry and Technical Systems
In commercial and technical environments, the key considerations are usually capacity, outer dimensions, material properties and connection options. Our water tanks are used in agriculture, mechanical engineering, workshops, technical installations, as well as on construction sites and project-based locations.
Especially in technical or project-driven applications, it makes sense to choose a tank not just by capacity, but also by installation requirements, material and connection layout. If you would like to compare further options, you can explore our full range under All Plastic Tanks.
Choose a Water Tank by Shape
Flat, Upright and Tower Water Tanks
In many applications, the shape of the tank determines suitability even faster than the volume.
A water tank should not only offer the required capacity, but also fit the available installation space.
That is why it makes sense to consider height, width and tank position at an early stage.
-
- Flat water tanks are ideal where installation height is limited, for example in vehicles, under seating areas or in low technical compartments.
- Upright water tanks are the right choice where width is restricted.
- Tower Water Tanks make efficient use of height and are suitable where floor space is limited.
You can explore suitable models under
Choose a Water Tank by Volume
The right size depends on how much water needs to be stored or supplied and how much space is actually available.
Smaller water tanks are ideal for compact applications, limited installation spaces or mobile use.
Larger models are the better choice where longer operating times, greater reserve capacity or additional buffer volume are needed.
When selecting the right tank, it is always worth considering volume together with installation dimensions.
A tank with more litres is not automatically the better solution if its shape, outer dimensions or connection positions do not suit the application.
The most frequently requested sizes include 50 Litre Water Tank, 100 Litre Water Tank, 200 Litre Water Tank, 500 Litre Water Tank and 1000 Litre Water Tank.
Exact dimensions and technical data are available on each product page.
What to Consider Before You Buy
To make sure your water tank is the right fit in everyday use, there are a few important points to check before making your choice.
This helps avoid later modifications and makes it easier to narrow down the right solution from the start.
-
-
Check installation dimensions: measure the available height, width and depth carefully
-
Define the type of use: distinguish between mobile and stationary applications
-
Plan volume realistically: consider actual demand as well as the reserve you need
-
Think about connections early: plan inlet, outlet, overflow, venting and any additional fittings in advance
-
Consider the application: clarify whether the tank is intended for drinking water, technical use or project-specific requirements
-
By checking these points early, you are much more likely to choose a water tank that fits your intended use both technically and practically.
Material, Quality and Technical Design
Our plastic water tanks are rotationally moulded from robust, UV-resistant polyethylene. Depending on the model, LLD-PE or MD-PE is used. This manufacturing process produces tanks in one piece without weld seams, resulting in excellent dimensional stability, impact resistance and long-term durability.
Depending on the model, key benefits include:
-
-
one-piece rotationally moulded construction
-
UV-resistant MD-PE or LLD-PE
-
low weight combined with high dimensional stability
-
semi-transparent versions for level checking
-
integrated baffles in many larger models
-
flat areas for additional fittings or mounting points
-
This makes our water tanks suitable not only for standard applications, but also for technical projects with clear requirements in terms of installation space, stability and connection layout.
Support in Choosing the Right Water Tank
The right water tank depends on the combination of application, installation space, volume and connection requirements.
If these points are considered early on, the available options can be narrowed down much more effectively.
If you would like support with your selection, our guide [Choosing the Right Water Tank] will help you take the next step.
Connections and Accessories
A water tank must not only fit in terms of size and shape, but also integrate properly into the intended system. That is why suitable fittings and accessories are an important part of the selection process. All models come as standard with a brass outlet featuring an internal thread in inch sizes.
Depending on the application, additional solutions for inlet, outlet, overflow, venting or extra fittings may also be required. You can find suitable components under:
This allows you to choose a water tank that not only fits your requirements, but can also be integrated cleanly into your application.
Drinking Water and Technical Documentation
Many plastic water tanks are suitable for drinking water applications, depending on the material and model, and are manufactured using food-grade compliant materials. Information on suitability, available certificates and technical specifications can be found directly on the relevant product page in the drawings and certificates section. Permanent storage and use of water in our water tanks is possible up to a temperature of 70 degrees Celsius. The WRAS certificate confirms that the water tank is suitable for the storage of drinking water.
There you will also find details such as dimensions, volume, technical design and connection positions. For business customers and project-based enquiries, we can also provide technical drawings as well as CAD or STEP files for engineering, installation and project planning on request.
Here you will also find a resistance list, which shows the material resistance to specific liquids or chemicals that can be stored in our plastic water tanks.

Easy installation of Tank accessories on the Water Tank / threaded BSP outlets
All water tanks have a moulded inch size brass threaded BSP outlet. Here you can install our Brass Tank Connection Sets or other brass accessories. In this case, order the brass threaded BSP outlet on the water tank open/drilled to drain the liquid and empty the water tank.
If you purchase the water tank with an 'undrilled/closed' threaded BSP outlet, the threaded BSP outlet will still be on the water tank but will be completely covered in plastic from the inside. This means that the filling medium never comes into contact with the brass thread. The plastic water tank is therefore also ideal for the safe storage of liquids such as chemicals, alkalis or acids that should not come into contact with brass.

Install Push-In BSP Fittings on our Water Tanks
If you need to install additional or alternative connections at points on our water tanks that are difficult or impossible to access through the existing lid opening, we offer a convenient and flexible solution with our new Push-In BSP Fittings. The Push-In BSP Fittings can be installed completely from the outside at any flat spot. This gives you an external thread of ½ - 2 inches on the water tank. You can then screw other required tank accessories (preferably plastic) onto the external thread of the Push-In BSP Fitting.
If you are storing liquids other than water in the tank, we can also supply the Push-In BSP Fittings with an NBR (diesel resistant) or FPM (chemical resistant) gaskets. For more information on sizes and installation on the water tank, click on the button below the video or view the video.
Install PVC Connections / PVC Tank Connection Sets on our Water Tanks
Any additional connections required for inlet, overflow or external ventilation can be made easily and independently using PVC Connections or PVC Tank Connection Sets in sizes ¾ - 2 inches. Ensure that the point where you want to drill a connection hole is accessible through the existing lid opening on the water tank so that the PVC Connection can be screwed on tightly.
This will provide you with an external thread in the required inch size for the installation of other tank accessories such as ball valves or hose tails. For more information on available sizes and installation, click on the button below the video or view the video.
Buy a Water Tank with pre-installed Spin Weld Outlets (LLDPE) - exclusively for business customers
